Biography

Della has been singing as long as she can remember and comes from a musical family. Participating in theatre, speech team, jazz band (as a rhythm guitarist), and choir in high school, she knew she wanted to be performer. Della is known for her rich, emotive voice and wide-ranging, eclectic music taste. She has an extensive gig book covering popular jazz standards, musical theatre, pop crossover music, and even dabbles in classical voice.

She graduated from Portland State University in June 2025 with her degree in Jazz Voice having studied under Sherry Alves, Kerry Pollitzer, Darrell Grant, and George Colligan. She plays piano and guitar to accompany herself when solo, and has traveled around the globe singing choral music with the PSU Chamber Choir. During her final in the ensemble, she served as Choir President.

In November 2024, Della was interviewed by Lisa Lipton for All Classical Radio's "On Deck with Young Musicians" series. In May 2025, Della made her debut as a soloist with the Oregon Symphony at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with the Link Up! Program (through Carnegie Hall) and their performances of The Orchestra Rocks! at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. She does choral work in the Portland Metro Area as an alto section leader working in various churches and community choruses in addition to her solo work at local venues.

She's performed background vocals with Pink Martini numerous times (as well as other projects under Thomas Lauderdale) and is featured as a background vocalist on Storm Large's holiday album A Joyful Noise (2024), and is a featured soloist on The PSU Chamber Choir's album The Songs Remain (2025).
